Dreaming Big Just Like the GOAT

Our team is always on the lookout for opportunities for youth to be inspired, excited, and experience new things!

We recently got to watch the Greatest Of All Time (the GOAT) herself, Simone Biles, perform when the Gold Over America Tour – yes, also GOAT – came to Minneapolis! Simone is not only the GOAT in women’s gymnastics, she is an incredible youth advocate and ambassador for Friends of the Children’s professional mentoring program. Thanks to her generosity, youth, families, and staff here in the Twin Cities and at other chapters across the country are able to experience the Gold Over America Tour and be reminded of the importance of dreaming big dreams – then going after them!

Friends - Twin Cities youth, their families, and even our staff were inspired by the gymnasts and the incredible atmosphere inside the Target Center. The energy was so powerfully positive, with people of all ages, shapes, and colors dancing through the halls and talking about the unbelievable physical feats of the gymnasts.

We love sharing opportunities like this with the youth enrolled in our program, watching them cheer, dance, and even imagine themselves up on a big stage someday!
