We are deeply saddened by the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis.

Renee was a mother, a writer, and a member of our community. Her death has brought grief, fear, and deep sorrow to many of our neighbors.

At Friends of the Children – Twin Cities, we walk alongside children and families through moments of instability and trauma by building long-term, consistent relationships with professional mentors. Events like this remind us how deeply community safety and trust matter, especially for children.

Our hearts are with Renee’s family and all who are mourning. We remain committed to showing up with care, consistency, and respect for the dignity of every person in our community.
