Join the Founding 50 Today
Be part of the foundation we’re building - one child, one relationship at a time.
A movement rooted in hope
When Friends of the Children - Twin Cities first launched, a few key champions made it possible to bring this life-changing model of long-term, professional mentoring to the Twin Cities.
Today, nearly 50 children across Minneapolis and St. Paul meet weekly with their professional mentor - a Friend - building trust, confidence, and hope that last a lifetime. One young boy in North Minneapolis now races to the door each week when his Friend arrives because for the first time, someone always shows up for him.
We know this model works:
83 % of youth with Friends graduate high school
93 % stay free from the juvenile justice system
98 % wait to parent until adulthood.
Now, as we deepen our roots and grow to reach more youth, we invite you to become part of this story by joining the Founding 50 and helping us build what lasts.

Our gratitude
- Listing as a Founding 50 Member on our website and in our annual report
- An invitation to our annual Founding 50 gathering with youth, Friends, and leadership
- Recognition at our future Clubhouse as a lasting symbol of your support and belief in our mission
