My name is Wuanell, and I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Friends of the Children family as a Professional Mentor.
I believe every child deserves someone in their corner who believes in them, listens to them, and encourages them to reach their goals. I’m passionate about building strong relationships with young people and creating a positive environment where they feel supported, respected, and confident in who they are.
Before joining Friends of the Children, I worked as a Youth Facilitator, where I had the opportunity to mentor students, support their personal growth, and help them develop leadership and life skills. Those experiences showed me the importance of having consistent, positive adults who can help guide and encourage young people.
I am a college graduate with a background in Business Administration, and I enjoy continuing to learn, grow, and find ways to make a positive impact in my community. I also have a passion for entrepreneurship, which has helped me develop skills in leadership, creativity, problem-solving, and connecting with others.
I’m looking forward to getting to know each child and family, learning about their interests and goals, and being someone they can trust and count on. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of each child’s journey and excited for the relationships we will build together.
