Staff: Destiny Sparks

As a child, Destiny spent years in the foster care system and was adopted as an older age, so she understands first-hand growing up with challenges. Destiny has been working with at-risk youth in public education for over 25 years as a teacher, school board member and administrator. She now has three wonderful adult children and shares her home with their beloved cats and dogs. An avid reader of science fiction, fantasy and historical fiction, she also enjoys volunteering at local themed conventions. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature, growing plants, making candles and trying new recipes in the kitchen. Destiny is thrilled to be working as a mentor/friend to build meaningful long term relationships that make an impact in kids' lives.
