As a Philanthropic Advisor at The Minneapolis Foundation, Amy partners with individuals and families to help bring their values to life through philanthropy. Prior to joining The Minneapolis Foundation in 2022, Amy worked in nonprofit development and communications for more than 20 years in the Twin Cities and Boston. Her nonprofit work has aligned with her passions in human services, affordable housing and children’s mental health. Most recently, she served as Chief Advancement Officer at Washburn Center for Children in Minneapolis.
She is the founder of Pfarr Reaching Communications, LLC, which offers strategy consultation and marketing support to nonprofits and small businesses.
Amy received a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College and completed a Masters of Business Communications Certificate at the University of St. Thomas. She also serves on the Advisory Council of A Christian Ministry in the National Parks.
Outside work and chauffeuring her daughter, Amy enjoys time outdoors, hiking in the mountains, and planning her next travel adventure.
